Description
Activated carbon filters remove odours, harmful gases and low-concentration organic pollutants from air by adsorption on the large internal surface of activated carbon. Three constructions are offered: flat panels with granular carbon for general ventilation and deodorisation; box filters using activated carbon fibre or carbon felt for high adsorption capacity in compact air handling units; and W-type high-airflow filters with a high carbon content for large volumes of process air. Capacity is consumed as the carbon loads, so the expected contaminant and its concentration decide the replacement cycle.
